EXPOSED (2021)
With Vilde Moberg, Tommy Karlsen, and Mimmi Tamba.
Ingrid, a young drama student, finds herself at the centre of an increasingly uncomfortable situation, as her ensemble and the play’s director discuss whether she should be performing a full-frontal nude scene in their graduation production.
Exposed premiered at the Oscar-qualifying Norwegian Short Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Golden Chair Award. It went on to screen at dozens of international festivals including the BIFA-qualifying EFN Short Film Festival, where it won the Critics’ Choice Award. It also landed a Vimeo Staff Pick and a Vimeo Best of the Year award.
PRESS:
“Speaking to contemporary issues of gender politics and representation, the film ricochets between ideas and characters with a confidence that makes us eager to see more.” (Vimeo Staff Pick; Best Of the Year)
“If you prescribe to the traditional structure of judging a successful script by three basic components: character, desire and conflict then it’s obvious why Exposed, directed by Anna Fredrikke Bjerke, doesn’t miss a beat.” (Directors Notes)
“Exposed lands an impact by feeling both timely and timeless, drawing attention to important issues (which unfortunately don’t feel like they are abating) with a fresh and engaging approach.” (Short of the Week)
